Rita Reys With The Pim Jacobs Combo - Desafinado / One Note Samba

Description
Rita Reys With The Pim Jacobs Combo bring two Brazilian standards into the close, conversational world of vocal jazz. “Desafinado” and “One Note Samba” belong to the bossa nova tradition, where a gently swaying pulse gives melodies room to breathe and the singer’s phrasing can feel as intimate as a whispered aside. Reys’s pairing makes this 7-inch single a neat meeting of Dutch jazz and a style built on subtle rhythm rather than grand gestures. The release appears on Philips as catalog number 318 841 PF, pressed in the Netherlands. These songs show how bossa nova’s understated groove can travel naturally into a jazz setting.
