Rod Stewart - Baby Jane / Ready Now

Description
Rod Stewart’s “Baby Jane” is a polished meeting point between pop-rock directness and the sleek textures that were finding their way into early-’80s radio. The song carries the easy sweep of soft rock, while its electronic sheen gives the arrangement a distinctly modern edge. On the flip, “Ready Now” adds another title to this compact 1983 pairing, with both tracks showing how pop could keep its familiar melodic pull while embracing newer sounds. Stewart is a singer, and that connection between voice and memorable songcraft sits at the heart of the single. This United States 7-inch appeared on Warner Bros. Records as 7-29608.
