Rod Stewart - Twisting The Night Away / True Blue / Lady Day

Description
Rod Stewart brings a rock singer’s ease to a pairing that turns between dance-floor motion and a more reflective title. “Twisting The Night Away” points toward the twist, a social dance tradition built on a simple invitation: let the rhythm set the body moving. On the other side, “True Blue / Lady Day” gives this 1972 single a two-part title that invites a different kind of attention, without needing to spell out a story in advance. Issued in the United States on Mercury, catalog number 73412, the release catches pop rock in a moment when an old dance craze could still feel fresh in a new voice.
