Rod Taylor - Radio / Radio

Description
Country rock has a way of bringing country’s storytelling instincts into conversation with the looseness of rock, and Rod Taylor’s 1974 single “Radio” sits in that tradition. Its title appears on both sides, keeping the focus firmly on the song itself. In the early seventies, country rock offered a meeting point for twang, songcraft and a more open rock approach; that blend gives this release a clear place in the style. Issued in the USA by Asylum Records as E-45205, it’s a concise entry from an era when country and rock were finding common ground without giving up their distinct roots.
