Rogelio Gutierrez - Los Coconitos / Corazon De Texas

Description
There’s a lively thread of polka running through norteño and Tejano music: a dance-rooted tradition where a clear pulse gives the melody room to turn and sparkle. Mexican artist Rogelio Gutierrez brings that world into focus on this Rovi single, catalog number RV-119. “Los Coconitos” and “Corazon De Texas” are the two titles here, each carrying a name that sits naturally within the music’s blend of regional styles and shared rhythms. Norteño polka has long made movement part of its musical language, linking the tune to the social pleasure of dancing. Gutierrez’s record belongs to that enduring, cross-border tradition.
