Roger Whittaker - Paradise / The Last Farewell

Description
This 7-inch single pairs “Paradise” with “The Last Farewell,” bringing two Roger Whittaker titles together in a compact country-folk release. Whittaker, a singer, carried the ballad tradition into an era when folk storytelling and polished soft rock could sit comfortably side by side. There’s a particular warmth in that meeting: the plainspoken shape of a song inviting close attention, delivered with the sweep and poise of a popular ballad. Issued by Rca Victor as PB-50030, this USA pressing offers a neat entry point into Whittaker’s recorded world, where familiar song forms leave room for a distinctive voice and a lasting sense of narrative.
