Ron White - San Angelo / Baby, I'm Ready

Description
Ron White’s 1978 7-inch single pairs “San Angelo” with “Baby, I'm Ready,” bringing two titled pieces of spoken-word comedy together on Tao Records, T 102. The record belongs to a long-running tradition in which comedy takes its cues from the spoken voice: timing, phrasing and the turn of a sentence can carry the performance as surely as a melody. Here, the titles give the release its shape without needing a larger story attached to them. Issued in the United States, it’s a compact entry in that playful meeting of records and stand-up, where a performer’s words become the center of the listening experience.
