Ronnie Prophet - San Diego / Fun

Description
Ronnie Prophet brings a country storyteller’s touch to “San Diego,” a title that opens a little window onto the restless pull of the road. In country music, a place name can carry more than geography: it can suggest distance, memory and the people waiting at the other end. Prophet’s roots in country sit comfortably alongside the broader folk and country-rock currents of the early seventies, when old-fashioned storytelling met a looser, more modern edge. The flip side, “Fun,” offers a second title to take along for the ride. Released in 1972 on Mandala, catalog number 45-2515, this USA pressing connects its songs to a tradition built around stories that travel.
