Ronnie Prophet - San Diego / Fun

Description
Mandala’s 1972 single brings Ronnie Prophet to a meeting point between country and the rootsier edge of rock. “San Diego” and “Fun” are the two titles here, with Prophet’s name at the heart of a record shaped by the broad country and folk traditions of the time. Bluegrass, country rock and folk rock all draw on music’s gift for carrying a story forward while making room for a lively, direct song; that shared heritage gives this release its place in a richly varied American roots landscape. Issued as Mandala 45-2515 in the USA, it stands as a compact piece of early-seventies country music.
