Samantha Sang - When Love Is Gone / Emotion

Description
“When Love Is Gone” meets “Emotion” on this 1977 single by Samantha Sang, pairing two titles around the heart-on-sleeve pull of soul and pop. Sang is an Australian singer, and her vocal style places this release in a tradition where a song’s emotional center matters as much as its melody. That meeting of soul’s expressive storytelling and pop’s directness gives the pairing its appeal without needing to dress it up: two distinct titles, bound by the feeling at their core. Issued by Private Stock Records as PS 45,178, the single carries the enduring promise of vocal soul: personal feeling made ready to travel from one listener to another.
