Sammi Smith - Kentucky / The Marionette

Description
Sammi Smith brings two country songs together on this 7-inch single, with “Kentucky” set against “The Marionette.” Country music has always made room for songs that feel close to everyday life, while country pop gives that storytelling a graceful, accessible shape; outlaw country, too, values a voice that can carry a song’s character without fuss. Those traditions meet here in a release that places Smith’s name at the center and lets the titles speak for themselves. Issued in the United States on Mega, catalog number 615-0056, this is a compact entry into Smith’s recorded work and the enduring appeal of country songs built around memorable titles.
