Seals & Crofts - Wisdom / Diamond Girl

Description
“Wisdom” opens a little window onto the thoughtful side of Seals & Crofts, while “Diamond Girl” brings the duo’s name into focus with the easy warmth of soft rock. In the early 1970s, pop-rock could make room for gentler voices and reflective songwriting without losing its way into a memorable song; that balance is part of what makes this pairing inviting. Seals & Crofts are known as a soft-rock duo, and these two titles offer a neat entry point to their work. Warner Bros. Records issued the 1973 United States single as WB 7708—a small piece of a decade when melodic pop could be both easygoing and quietly searching.
