Sergio Hernandez - Lagrimas / Brindaremos Por El

Description
“Lagrimas” opens a little doorway into the world of merengue, where a lively dance tradition can carry both tenderness and celebration. Sergio Hernandez brings that tradition into focus here, with “Brindaremos Por El” offering a second title to keep in view alongside it. Merengue’s pulse has long made room for feeling as well as movement, giving songs a social life that reaches beyond the dance floor. Issued in 1984 on Karen as K-708, this Dominican Republic pressing connects Hernandez’s name to two memorable titles and a music rooted in shared rhythm. The enduring appeal of merengue lies in that balance: personal feeling, carried forward together.
