Shalamar - My Girl Loves Me / Right Here

Description
Shalamar’s 1984 single brings two titles together at a moment when electronic production was finding fresh ways to move through pop and dance music. “My Girl Loves Me” shares the release with “Right Here,” giving the record a neat contrast in names without asking either title to carry more meaning than it promises. The pleasure of this era’s electro lies in the meeting of machines and human musical expression: precise rhythms, bright textures, and a sense of motion shaped for the dance floor. Issued by Solar as 7-69660, this 7-inch belongs to a period when electronic sounds were becoming part of everyday pop vocabulary.
