Sheila E. - The World Is High / Hold Me

Description
Smooth soul, with a little funk in its stride. Sheila E. brings that balance to this 1987 single, letting the ballad warmth of “The World Is High” sit alongside the more intimate promise of “Hold Me.” The pairing suggests the rich, flexible heart of contemporary R&B, where a tender mood and a steady groove can share the same small space without crowding each other. Issued in the United States by Warner Bros. Records as 7-29890, this release captures a moment when pop and soul could meet in a polished, personal song. Sheila E. is the name at the center of both titles.
