Shotgun - Hotline / Shotgun

Description
“Hotline” opens a lively conversation with “Shotgun,” bringing the title track into a musical tradition where soul’s expressive vocals meet funk’s rhythmic drive. The group name, Shotgun, shares its name with the song on the flip, giving this 1977 single a neat little point of connection without needing any extra backstory. Funk and soul have always made room for songs that feel direct and inviting, carried by groove as much as by melody; these titles sit naturally in that lineage. Released on Abc Records as AB-12264, this American single captures the appeal of a concise song built to make its presence felt.
