Smokey Robinson - Cruisin' / Ever Had A Dream

Description
“Cruisin’” gives this Tamla single its inviting first turn, with Smokey Robinson bringing a songwriter’s touch to soul shaped by rhythm and blues. That tradition makes room for intimacy as well as groove: a song can feel close and personal while still moving with an easy pulse. On the other side, “Ever Had A Dream” offers a second title from Robinson, whose work sits naturally in the rich conversation between soul and R&B. Released in 1979 as Tamla T 54306 F, the record carries that enduring balance of feeling and forward motion—music rooted in soul’s ability to make a private thought feel shared.
