South Shore Commission / Mighty Three - Train Called Freedom / Train Called Freedom (Disco Version)

Description
South Shore Commission brings “Train Called Freedom” into the warm, communal world of gospel soul, where the language of spiritual uplift meets the pulse of the dance floor. The song’s title points toward release, while the style itself carries a long tradition of turning shared voices and feeling into movement. On the flip, Mighty Three takes up “Train Called Freedom (Disco Version),” placing the same title in a disco setting and connecting it to the era’s appetite for soulful grooves built for dancing. Issued in 1976 on Wand as WND-11294, this United States pressing brings gospel soul and disco together around one enduring idea: freedom can be sung collectively.
