South Side Coalition - Get Off Your Seats And Jam / Get Off Your Seats And Jam

Description
Brown Dog’s 1975 recording brings South Side Coalition straight into a lively corner of the funk and soul tradition. “Get Off Your Seats And Jam” appears on both sides, its invitation capturing the communal spirit at the heart of dance music: a groove is at its best when it draws people together. Funk’s punchy rhythms and soul’s warmth found a natural meeting point in the disco era, when records were made to carry that shared energy onto the floor. Issued as a 7-inch single in the USA, this release pairs its title with Brown Dog and catalog number BD 9007—a compact call to move, and to join in.
