St. John Gospelettes - Lord, I'm Trying / Remember Me

Description
St. John Gospelettes bring gospel’s shared purpose into focus on this 1980 single, where the tradition’s invitation to sing, testify and find strength together sits at the heart of the music. “Lord, I'm Trying” speaks in the language of persistence, while “Remember Me” turns toward a plea familiar across generations of sacred song. Gospel has long made personal faith communal: voices gathered around words that can carry hardship and hope in the same breath. Issued on Wms Records as WMS 103, this USA pressing offers two titles rooted in that enduring exchange between an individual voice and a congregation. The Gospelettes’ name places that collective spirit right up front.
