Stephanie Mills - Sweet Sensation / Wish That You Were Mine

Description
“Sweet Sensation” and “Wish That You Were Mine” meet on a single that brings two sides of Stephanie Mills into close conversation: the bright pull of disco and the tenderness of a love song. Mills is a singer, and here the appeal lies in the directness of the songs’ pairing, with each title carrying its own emotional promise. Disco grew from dance music’s sense of shared momentum, yet its best records leave room for longing as well as movement. Issued by 20Th Century Fox Records as TC-2449, this USA pressing catches that blend in a compact form: a dance tradition with a heart as open as its beat.
