Stevie Wonder - My Girl / You Met Your Match

Description
That classic soul feeling starts with a groove you can carry home. Stevie Wonder brings a warm, direct presence to this 1964 Tamla single, where rhythm and blues meet the expressive pull of soul. “My Girl” and “You Met Your Match” give the record its two distinct names, with the second title adding a playful edge to the pairing. Tamla’s T-54168 belongs to a period when soul singles made melody, rhythmic lift and a singer’s character feel inseparable. Wonder is a singer and songwriter, and this release catches the enduring appeal of soul built around a compelling voice and a strong song.
