Sting - Fortress Around Your Heart / Consider Me Gone (Live Version)

Description
“Fortress Around Your Heart” and “Consider Me Gone (Live Version)” bring two distinct turns of phrase together on this 1985 single: one title suggests a guarded heart, the other carries a performance into the moment. Sting’s work sits comfortably in pop rock, where crisp songcraft can leave room for reflection without losing its pulse. That balance gives these songs an intriguing pairing, with the live designation making the second title’s setting part of the record’s character. Issued in the United States by A&M Records as AM-2767, this 7-inch release belongs to a period when concise singles could hold both personal writing and the immediacy of performance in a small space.
