Strawbs - I Only Want My Love To Grow In You / (Wasting My Time) Thinking Of You

Description
On Polydor in 1976, Strawbs bring their pop-rock craft to “I Only Want My Love To Grow In You,” paired with “(Wasting My Time) Thinking Of You.” Both titles turn toward the tangled business of love, a subject pop has always made room for: its hopes and doubts can sit close together, giving a song its emotional pull. The record catches that directness in a concise form, where a memorable phrase can carry a whole relationship’s worth of feeling. The catalogue number is 2066 705, and the pressing is from England. These songs leave affection and uncertainty side by side, as they so often are in life.
