Stu Phillips - Theme From “Battlestar Galactica” / Theme From “Battlestar Galactica”

Description
A little disco sparkle meets the drama of the screen. Stu Phillips brings the theme from “Battlestar Galactica” to the dance-floor-minded end of 1970s television music, where orchestral sweep and a steady pulse could make a science-fiction story feel thrillingly close. Theme From “Battlestar Galactica” appears on both sides, keeping the focus squarely on Phillips’s screen theme. Issued in 1978 by Mca Records as MCA-40970, this US 7-inch single belongs to a moment when television themes could travel beyond the living room and into pop culture. It’s a vivid meeting of disco’s drive and the grand, instantly recognizable language of a TV theme.
