Supertramp - Better Days / Cannonball

Description
“Better Days” and “Cannonball” bring two sides of Supertramp’s pop songwriting together on this 1985 7-inch single. The group’s soft-rock setting makes room for songs that can balance polished pop craft with a more reflective, gently unfolding sensibility. Here, the titles offer a neat contrast without needing to tell us what the music will do: each stands as its own entry point into the band’s songbook. Released by A&M Records as AM-8663, the single belongs to a tradition of pop that values melody and careful arrangement while keeping the songs accessible. Supertramp’s place in that tradition rests on the enduring appeal of a well-shaped song.
