Supertramp - Cannonball / Better Days

Description
Supertramp’s “Cannonball” opens with a title that suggests a clean break from the everyday, while the band’s soft-rock roots keep the song grounded in pop’s gift for memorable, carefully shaped tunes. The mid-1980s were a time when polished studio pop and rock often met in the same song, balancing crisp hooks with a reflective edge. Here, “Cannonball” shares the release with “Better Days,” a title that turns the thought toward hope without needing to spell out a story. Issued by A&M Records as AM-8663 in 1985, this single catches Supertramp in a period when melodic craft remained central to their sound.
