Sylvers - Boogie Fever / Free Style

Description
“Boogie Fever” brings the Sylvers into the bright, buoyant world of mid-’70s disco, where funk’s deep pocket met the dance floor’s steady pulse. The group’s name carries a natural sense of motion here, and “Free Style” keeps that spirit alongside the lead title, giving this Capitol single—catalog number 4179—a pair of memorable signposts from the era. Disco grew from Black dance music traditions that prized groove, collective energy, and a beat built to keep moving; those roots give this record’s place in the decade more meaning than a passing trend. The Sylvers’ 1975 single captures that enduring conversation between funk and dance music.
