Sylvia - Easy Evil / Easy Evil

Description
Sylvia’s 1974 single “Easy Evil” sits in the rich world of soul, where a song can turn tension into something intimate and quietly compelling. Soul has always made room for complicated feelings: its expressive vocal tradition brings emotional weight to a melody without needing to spell out every thought. Here, the title itself suggests a tempting contradiction, giving the song a memorable point of entry while leaving its meaning open to the listener. “Easy Evil” is issued on Vibration as catalog number VI-530, a U.S. pressing from 1974. Sylvia’s name and this concise single make a neat meeting point between soul’s emotional directness and its taste for ambiguity.
