Taana Gardner - When You Touch Me / Work That Body

Description
Disco has always had room for both the tender and the physical: a song can invite a close embrace, then send the whole floor into motion. Taana Gardner brings those two impulses together here, with “When You Touch Me” on one side and “Work That Body” on the other. The titles make a lively pairing without needing to tell the same story twice, and they capture disco’s gift for turning private feeling and shared movement into companions. Issued in 1979 on West End as WES 1222, this USA pressing belongs to a tradition built around the dance floor—and around the pleasure of making space for everyone to move.
