Tamiko Jones - Let It Flow / Cloudy

Description
Tamiko Jones brings a soulful voice to this 1976 disco-era pairing, where “Let It Flow” and “Cloudy” give the record its own little arc. The first title suggests movement; the second leaves room for a more reflective turn, while the music’s place between soul and disco connects it to a tradition built for feeling as much as for the dance floor. On Atlantis Records, catalog number 716-AD, this USA pressing belongs to a moment when soul’s expressive vocals and disco’s steady pulse could meet in a concise single. Jones keeps the focus on the songs, and their contrasting titles make a neat conversation.
