The Amazing Rhythm Aces - Third Rate Romance / Mystery Train

Description
“Third Rate Romance” paired with “Mystery Train” brings two very different kinds of storytelling together: one title hints at a crooked-hearted encounter, the other draws on the enduring lore of the railroad blues. The Amazing Rhythm Aces make that meeting a country-rock conversation, where country’s plainspoken tales can sit easily beside rock’s restless pulse. This 1975 7-inch single, issued by Abc Records as ABC-12078, links a slyly named song with a title rooted in blues tradition. “Mystery Train” has traveled through generations of American popular music, while this pairing gives both titles a place in the Aces’ country-rock world.
