The Bar-Kays - Son Of Shaft / Sang And Dance

Description
“Son Of Shaft” carries the title into a tradition where funk turns a strong, repeating groove into a meeting point: rhythm up front, with every part serving the pulse. The Bar-Kays bring that spirit to this Volt single, while “Sang And Dance” gives the other side its own invitation to move. The group’s name is closely associated with funk and soul, styles built for music that connects the bandstand to the dance floor without losing its sense of craft. Issued as Volt VOA-4073, this 7-inch belongs to a format that made a focused groove easy to carry home. Both titles keep the emphasis on movement.
