The Blue Notes - Blue Star / Pucker Your Lips

Description
A little doo-wop sweetness goes a long way. The Blue Notes bring a classic vocal-group sensibility to this Collectables 7-inch, COL 1016, where “Blue Star” shares the bill with “Pucker Your Lips.” Doo-wop grew from close harmony, memorable hooks and the easy, conversational feel of singers answering one another; its roots also meet naturally with rhythm and blues, soul and Latin rhythms. That blend makes this pairing a welcome stop for listeners drawn to the lively space between street-corner harmony and dance-floor groove. The titles keep the focus on the group and on a tradition built around voices meeting in harmony.
