The Box Tops - Choo Choo Train / Fields Of Clover

Description
There’s a little grit in the groove of this kind of soul-rock, where rhythm and blues meets the crunch of a rock band. The Box Tops bring that blend to Mala single 12,005, with “Choo Choo Train” on one side and “Fields Of Clover” on the other. The titles sit together without needing a story imposed on them; the pleasure is in hearing a band work across the border between styles. Rhythm and blues has always made room for direct, earthy expression, while blues rock gives that tradition a tougher edge. This United States pressing belongs to that lively meeting point.
