The Brothers - Today Is Today / With The Rain

Description
“Today Is Today” paired with “With The Rain” gives The Brothers room to turn a compact pop single toward folk-rock’s easy blend of songcraft and open-hearted harmony. Their White Whale release, catalog number WW-250, also sits in the gently sunlit corner of late-sixties pop, where soft psychedelia could add a little color without losing the directness of a memorable tune. There is something inviting in that balance: the familiar shape of a song meeting a more floating, reflective sensibility. On this United States pressing, the two titles share a small but telling space between folk-rock warmth and sunshine pop’s bright, melodic tradition.
