The Cowsills - Hair / What Is Happy?

Description
The Cowsills bring a bright pop touch to “Hair,” a song whose title became closely tied to a spirit of personal freedom and self-expression. The group’s sunny pop-rock setting belongs to a tradition that prizes inviting melodies and open-hearted harmonies, while leaving room for a song to carry a little edge. On Mgm Records, K-14026, the other side turns to “What Is Happy?”—a question that gives this release a thoughtful counterpoint without needing an easy answer. Together, the titles hold two different moods in balance: exuberance and reflection, both rooted in pop’s knack for making big ideas feel personal.
