The Critters - Younger Girl / Mr. Dieingly Sad

Description
The Critters bring two carefully titled songs together on this 7-inch single: “Younger Girl” and “Mr. Dieingly Sad.” Their pairing belongs to the bright, concise world of mid-century American pop, where rock and roll’s directness met the craft of the song. The contrast in the titles gives the release its own small narrative, moving from youth to a more rueful mood without needing any grand explanation. It’s a neat reminder that pop singles can hold different emotional shades in just a few words. Issued by Mca Records as MCA-60016; K-10031, this United States pressing keeps both songs close at hand.
