The Dimensions - Zing! / I Went The Strings Of My Heart / Over The Rainbow

Description
The Dimensions bring “Zing! / I Went The Strings Of My Heart” into the sweet, close-knit world of doo-wop, where vocal harmony turns a pop song into a shared conversation. That tradition grew around singers blending their voices into one expressive sound, with each line carried by the group as much as by any soloist. The pairing appears on Collectables, catalog COL 1170. On the flip, “Over The Rainbow” offers another familiar title for the group to take up, linking the record to a song that has travelled through many voices and musical settings. Here, the lasting appeal lies in harmony itself: separate singers finding a common line.
