The Drew-Vels - Just Because / Tell Him

Description
“Just Because” and “Tell Him” make an inviting pairing on this 1973 soul single by The Drew-Vels. Soul has always made room for songs that feel close at hand: direct voices, memorable turns of phrase, and emotion carried with an unvarnished sense of purpose. That tradition gives these two titles a natural place together, each offering its own point of entry without needing a grand story around them. Released in the USA on Capitol Records, catalog number 5055, this 7-inch single belongs to a period when soul kept everyday feeling at the heart of popular song. The Drew-Vels’ pairing leaves that intimate tradition firmly in view.
