The Drifting Cowboys - Rag Mop / Rag Mop

Description
“Rag Mop” meets “Rag Mop” on this 1977 country single by The Drifting Cowboys, turning the same song title into the record’s defining pairing. Country music has long made room for songs that travel easily from one voice and setting to another, gathering a life through repetition, shared memory and the pleasure of a familiar refrain. Here, both sides carry “Rag Mop,” giving the title a central place in the release rather than treating it as a passing detail. Issued in the United States on Epic as catalog number 8-50543, this seven-inch single belongs to that enduring tradition of songs kept alive by being sung again.
