The Five Discs / The Tokens - Rock And Roll Revival / Please Write

Description
The Five Discs bring “Rock And Roll Revival” into the old-school doo-wop tradition, where close harmonies and a strong melody turn a song into a communal affair. The phrase points toward rock and roll’s enduring pull, but the title alone leaves the music to speak for itself. Then The Tokens take the other side with “Please Write,” a ballad title that calls to mind the intimate, handwritten messages long woven into popular song. Collectables pairs these two distinct credits on COL 3303, linking a revival-minded title with a tender one. Doo-wop’s lasting charm lies in how naturally voices make a melody feel shared.
