The Four Knights - I Couldn't Stay Away From You / I Get So Lonely (When I Dream About You)

Description
Capitol’s F2654 brings The Four Knights together on “I Couldn't Stay Away From You” and “I Get So Lonely (When I Dream About You),” two titles that speak to the tender heart of doo wop. The style grew from close-knit vocal harmony, turning courtship and longing into songs meant to be carried from one voice to another. Here, the titles alone sketch that familiar emotional landscape: staying near someone, or missing them in a dream. Doo wop’s enduring charm lies in that directness, where a feeling needs no grand explanation. This United States pressing links the group to a tradition built around voices and everyday romance.
