The Friends Of Distinction - Love Or Let Me Be Lonely / This Generation

Description
Here’s soul with a little funk in its step. The Friends Of Distinction bring two titles together on Rca Victor, catalog number 74-0319: “Love Or Let Me Be Lonely” and “This Generation.” The group’s name suits the warm, communal spirit at the heart of soul, where expressive voices meet a rhythmic pulse shaped by gospel, rhythm and blues, and pop. Funk adds its own snap and forward motion to that tradition, making room for a more insistent groove without losing the human touch. These songs sit within that rich crossing of styles, where soulful feeling and a lively beat belong naturally together.
