The Gap Band - Automatic Brain (Rap Version) / Automatic Brain (Vocal Version)

Description
That late-night disco pulse is hard to resist. The Gap Band bring funk and soul into the dance-floor language of the mid-1980s, where a steady groove could make a room move and a vocal hook could stay with you after the music stopped. Here, “Automatic Brain (Rap Version)” and “Automatic Brain (Vocal Version)” offer two distinct ways into the same song, with the rap take and vocal take both named plainly on the release. Issued in 1986 in the USA by Total Experience Records, TES 1223 sits at the meeting point of disco’s polished momentum and funk’s rhythmic drive—a dance tradition built to keep bodies in motion.
