The Gap Band - Party Train (Edited Version Of Special Dance Mix) / Party Train

Description
The Gap Band’s “Party Train (Edited Version Of Special Dance Mix)” brings the invitation right to the door: a title that captures funk’s gift for turning a gathering into a shared celebration. In the early ’80s, synths and sharp rhythmic accents gave funk fresh colors while its social heartbeat stayed unmistakable—music made to move people together. There’s an appealing sense of occasion in that balance, where the dance floor belongs to everyone. The flip side pares the name back to “Party Train,” keeping the focus on the song itself. Issued by Total Experience Records as TE 8209 in 1983, this single carries forward funk’s enduring communal spirit.
