The Lovin' Spoonful - Summer In The City / Butchie's Tune

Description
Folk-rock has a way of making everyday life feel vivid, and The Lovin' Spoonful bring that spirit to this pairing. “Summer In The City” and “Butchie's Tune” sit together on a 7-inch single from Kama Sutra, catalog number KA 211. Folk rock often draws its warmth from familiar storytelling, while pop rock gives songs a direct, compact shape; that meeting point helps explain the enduring appeal of the style. The two titles make a neat entry into the group’s world, with the record itself holding both names in one place. Here, the pleasure is in the contrast between the titles—and in the songcraft that lets each stand on its own.
