The New Christy Minstrels - Down The Road I Go / Gotta Get A'goin'

Description
The New Christy Minstrels bring two briskly titled songs together on this 7-inch single: “Down The Road I Go” and “Gotta Get A'goin'.” Folk has always made room for the pull of the road—the urge to leave, travel, and keep moving—and that tradition gives these titles an easy sense of forward motion without needing a grand story. The group’s folk-pop vocal approach sits at a crossroads where communal song meets polished popular songwriting, keeping the old impulse to sing together in view. This USA pressing was issued by Columbia as 4-43178, a neat pairing rooted in folk’s enduring language of movement.
