The New Colony Six - Summertime's Another Name For Love / Can't You See Me Cry

Description
A 7-inch single pairs two evocative titles: The New Colony Six bring “Summertime's Another Name For Love” together with “Can't You See Me Cry.” The contrast gives this Mercury Records release, catalog number 72817, an inviting little story before a note is heard: one title opens onto summer and love, the other turns toward tears. Both belong to the expressive world of vocal rock and roll, where a memorable phrase and a direct emotional appeal can make a compact song feel wonderfully personal. Pressed in the United States, this single connects seasonal romance and heartache through the enduring pop-rock tradition of putting feeling plainly into a song.
