The O'jays - Let Me Make Love To You / Survival

Description
The O'jays bring two sides of their musical world together on this 1975 single: the intimate promise of “Let Me Make Love To You” and the more hard-edged resolve suggested by “Survival.” Their work sits within the rich tradition of soul, where expressive vocals and carefully shaped songs carry both tenderness and conviction. Here, the contrast between the titles gives the release its own small narrative, without asking either song to stand in for the other. Philadelphia International Records issued the 7-inch in the United States as ZS8 3573. The pairing leaves a striking thought: love and perseverance belong naturally in the same soul story.
